Gilah obtained her associate's degree and bachelor's degree in Nursing while serving as a member of the Maryland Army National Guard. Her nursing background includes working in emergency medicine and perianesthesia settings. She went on to complete an MSN from George Washington University, specializing in adult and geriatric patients.
She is board certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Working as an RN at the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, she regularly encountered patients dealing with acute and chronic pain management needs caused by various orthopedic injuries and conditions. Gilah feels strongly that effective pain management is key to helping patients reach their optimal level of function and improving their overall quality of life.
After honorably serving in the United States military, being a mother is Gilah's proudest accomplishment. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, camping, and being outdoors.
